We had a chance to hang out with Zerbin backstage at the Biltmore Cabaret during the west coast leg of their tour across Canada. Hailing from Edmonton Alberta, Zerbin is an indie rock band consisting of four young gentlemen whose stage style is undeniable.
Watch our interview with Zerbin above.
The energy back stage was infectious and opened up the evening to conversations about indie rock style, life and music. When asked where he shops most and why, lead vocalist Jason Zerbin responded casually:
“My style is a lot from H&M because it’s fashionable and affordable.” Jason is seen below wearing Derek Cardigan 7014 Black Ice glasses.
We then passed the mic to Zerbin’s drummer, Nick, who also weighed in on his indie rock style:
“My style? Comfortable. I was contemplating wearing suspenders and a tight shirt tonight, but then I was like, I don’t want to be uncomfortable when I play.” Nick is seen below wearing Derek Cardigan 7010 Blackout glasses.
Derek, who sets the bass line for each and every Zerbin tune, focuses on two main things when it comes to his indie rock style:
“My style is about love and value.” Derek is seen below wearing Derek Cardigan 7014 Black Rootbeer.
Zerbin’s lead guitarist, Peter, has a casual indie rock vibe that’s effortlessly cool and described his job for the evening in one short sentence:
“I play the sick melodies that you hear”. Peter is seen below wearing Derek Cardigan 7014 Black Fade glasses.
After a fun chit chat about the life of an indie rock band, Zerbin took to the stage to a packed house and did what they do best – play amazing music.
