Falling for Prints

The end of the Summer season is inevitable, which is why it’s never too soon to start sprucing up that Fall wardrobe. Taking a peek back to the Fall 2012 ready-to-wear runways, it was evident that top designers such as Gucci, Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana were falling for prints.

This season’s print heavy designs allow you to layer on rich colours for the Fall season. Dark olives, rich ambers and smoky greys add a confident touch to the standard black and brown.

Romantic was the word used backstage at Gucci, though Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director, clarified “but not cute-romantic; it has a confidence.” Nicole Phelps of Style.com also added that Dolce & Gabbana’s “colorful needlepoint florals and prints of cherubs […] contributed to a sweeter-than-usual mood.”

Though eyeglasses may not have as much real estate to show off this lavish trend, glasses designers have still managed to weave eye catching patterns throughout their glasses designs.
