Joe has been one to always receive compliments on his unique glasses style so we couldn’t be more excited to have him as a style ambassador. Along with his unique glasses style is his clothing sense which he admits is inspired by his own day-to-day life rather than blogs or trends. We really love Joe’s attitude toward style and the fact that he loves bright sneakers!

Meet Joe

Name & Nickname: Joe Palumbo | Joey P

Home base: Milltown, NJ

I applied to become a style ambassador because: I’ve always been impressed with Clearly – the customer service has always been great. I also figured I would be good at being an ambassador because I was already doing it anyway. I always received compliments on my glasses and people were always interested in where they came from. I was telling someone about Clearly almost every time I went out!

I chose this pair of glasses for my style ambassador starter kit because: I thought the green tortoise was a really cool color, I already have basic colors and thought green would be a neat way to mix it up.

My glasses collection consists of ___ pairs of frames: 4 pairs of eyeglasses and about 8 or 9 pairs of sunglasses.

My favorite fashion trend of the moment is: Crazy sneakers. Not that I ever felt weird wearing them, I have a massive sneaker collection, but bright sneakers seem to be creeping their way into everyday attire. I’ll ride that train as long as it’s cool… and keep riding.

If I could be stuck in an elevator with anyone, it would be: Henry Rollins

I would describe my personal style as: All over the place. I try to mix it up as much as I can, especially with work clothes. I secretly love fall and winter because I can integrate sweaters and layers but I like summer much more. I guess if I had to describe it it would be modern classic with a bit of streetwear peppered in.

My go-to drink at Starbucks is: Venti Blonde Roast. Nice and simple. I usually get nervous if I take a while and there’s a line behind me. I do enjoy a nice cafe mocha on occasion though.

Glasses are an amazing accessory because: They can make an outfit feel completely different. Even just a different shape can make a big change. I wish I hadn’t put off getting glasses for so long, they’ve quickly become my favorite accessory.

The best way to organize a closet is: By color. Ask me about my OCD.

A tip on picking out the perfect pair of frames is: Be adventurous. Try on a pair you wouldn’t think about wearing. Pick something you think is interesting. Once you try them on you’ll be surprised how good you probably look.

My current style muse is: Nick Wooster

My favorite online source for style inspiration is: I’ve moved away from more blogs and I find myself using downtime when I’m travelling or when I’m relaxing on the couch to browse instagram. Regular people are doing cool things on a regular basis. They don’t need to have a huge number of followers to be doing something interesting.

Some favorite boutiques in my area are: I do like stumbling across vintage shops and finding cool old accessories like ties and watches. About 40 minutes away from me there is a great shoe boutique called Rare Breed, the layout of the store is really interesting and you can’t go wrong in my book with a huge focus on sneakers.

A social media platform or app that I can’t get enough of is: Instagram all the way.

My favorite fashion blogger is: Not your typical fashion blog but I love Brandon Stantons Humans of New York and The Sartorialist. I love that they focus on other people and these people aren’t trying to make a name for themselves they’re just regular people out and about and I think that’s so interesting.

Buying the same piece of clothing in multiple colors, yay or nay? Definitely, no reason not to.

Favorite city to go shopping is: Boston
