It was a milestone year for Clearly: in 2020, we celebrated 20 years of bringing you glasses and contact lenses (yes, there\u2019s a 20\/20 vision joke in there somewhere). <\/strong><\/p>\n

But our story<\/span> <\/span>i<\/span>sn’t<\/span> just about eyewear \u2013 if you\u2019ve shopped with us over the last 20 years, you\u2019ve joined us on <\/span>Our Mission<\/span><\/a> to eradicate poor vision by 2050<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Before we get into all that incredible stuff, let\u2019s put 20 years into perspective<\/span> (yes, that\u2019s a vision pun)<\/span>. W<\/span>ay back in 2000, <\/span>t<\/span>he<\/span> <\/span>first camera phone was sold<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>J<\/span>ust think of how many <\/span>pet<\/span> portraits, <\/span>selfies, <\/span>and pic<\/span>ture<\/span>s of avocado toast have been taken since<\/span> then. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

But what\u2019s even better than photos? Seeing<\/span>, enjoying, and immersing <\/span>yourself<\/span> in<\/span> the<\/span> amazing things <\/span>in <\/span>y<\/span>our everyday li<\/span>fe<\/span>. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

In 20 years, we\u2019ve<\/span> brought<\/span> millions of people<\/span> <\/span>the glasses<\/a> and contacts<\/a> they need to see clearly<\/span>. Local community initiatives <\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"\"We\u2019ve partnered with many organizations in Vancouver to provide free glasses and eye health screenings, including the Downtown East Side Eye Clinic, West End Seniors Centre, Salvation Army, and Gathering Place Community Centre.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the years, we\u2019ve helped <\/span>over 600,000<\/span> <\/span>people<\/span> <\/span>gain access to vital eyewear, so they can move through life with clear vision and be better equipped to tackle <\/span>any<\/span> <\/span>challenges they face. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Nationwide youth eye care efforts <\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"ourWe\u2019ve paired up with organizations across Canada provide eyewear and eye health education for young people, including Tim Horton\u2019s <\/span>Children Foundation, Toronto Foundation for Students Success, and Big Sisters Vancouver.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
