Frame size is determined by the three key measurements found inside the frame arm: lens width (from 31-60mm), bridge width (from 12-31mm), and arm length (from 115-155mm).
Lens height is essential for multifocal prescriptions, such as Progressives, which require a minimum measurement of 28-30mm. They are also recommended for Rx sunglasses.

"These bold frames from Derek Cardigan flatter tapered jaws, tall foreheads, arched brows, and soft features. The saddle bridge sits comfortably on longer, narrower noses while flexible spring hinges bow outward to suit medium and large faces. Glimmering math symbols sit at each temple point for a final flash of nerdy cool."

Bending is better
Spring hinges allow the arm to bend beyond the standard 90-degree angle, so your glasses last longer and fit more comfortably.
