The prices of our glasses and contacts are the same in-store as they are online. However, we often run exclusive in-store promotions so it’s always worth talking to our experts so we can find the best deal for you.

If we have your contacts in stock, you can pick them up on the same day at our Clearly Chinook Centre location. You’ll need to bring a valid contact lens prescription and show it to the team.

Glasses orders take a little longer, as we have to create your custom lenses and fit them into your chosen frames. We can arrange to ship your glasses directly to you, or you can pick them up in-store. Typically, glasses orders take about 2 weeks. If you ordered your glasses online and want to pick them up in the store, you’ll also need to show us your valid glasses prescription.

There's plenty of free parking at Chinook Centre!

An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor who specializes in eye surgeries. An optometrist (or eye doctor) is your primary vision care provider. It’s best to see an optometrist if you need an eye exam, a new glasses or contact lens prescription, or treatments for common eye conditions, such as dry eyes, glaucoma, and eye infections. Our local optometrists can also provide pre- and post-eye surgery care.

If you’re looking for an optometrist in Calgary, book an eye exam or a store visit with us online.

An optometrist is your primary vision care provider for comprehensive eye exams and vision tests, eye prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses, and treatments for common eye conditions.

An optician is a technician who primarily dispenses glasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses based on the prescriptions provided by your optometrist or ophthalmologist. They are also trained to repair or adjust your eyewear to ensure a correct fit.

If you’re looking for a local optician or optometrist in Calgary, book an eye exam or a store visit with us online.

During a full eye exam, our optometrists will check your eyes through a series of tests:

  • Refractive issues: nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism, or presbyopia
  • Overall perception: colour vision, depth perception, and eye coordination
  • Assessment of vision loss: “lazy eye” (amblyopia), glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, cataracts, and keratoconus
  • Assessment of other health conditions: vascular diseases, neurological diseases, inflammatory diseases, and certain cancers

A regular eye exam every one to two years can help preserve your eye health and overall health.

Here’s a checklist to help you prepare for your upcoming eye exam or routine eye checkup appointment with our optometrists. Please bring with you:

  • A list of any medications that you currently use
  • All pairs of glasses that you currently use
  • If you are a contact lens wearer, please wear your glasses to the appointment (if available), and bring your contact lens boxes/foils
  • Your provincial health card

If you have nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, or presbyopia, your eye doctor may prescribe contact lenses. It’s best to see what your optometrist recommends since contacts are medical devices and they are available in different shapes, sizes, and materials. Book an eye exam today for a valid contact lens prescription and initial contact lens fitting.

If you have astigmatism, your eye doctor may prescribe toric contact lenses to allow for more object focus. Regular contacts cannot correct blurry vision caused by astigmatism because these lenses lack the necessary shape and prescription power. Book an eye exam today for a valid contact lens prescription and initial contact lens fitting.

A comprehensive eye exam includes a thorough assessment of your vision and eye health and helps your eye doctor determine your glasses prescription, but it doesn’t determine your contact lens prescription.

If you’re new to contacts or you need a new prescription, get a contact lens exam. It includes a contact lens fitting to ensure the best lens fit. Learn about the differences between contact lens and glasses prescriptions.
