RIGID GAS-PERMABLE CONTACT LENSES
For the ultimate in sharp vision
Once known as hard contact lenses, rigid gas-permeable contact lenses are extremely durable, meaning that they won’t tear when you try to put them in, like some soft contacts can. Another crucial difference from soft contact lenses is that rigid gas-permeable (RGP) lenses are made of materials that don’t contain water, so there’s less protein and lipid build-up on the lenses, making them easy to clean.
“Hard contacts” have a reputation for irritating the eyes, but with proper care and enough patience to adjust to your RGP lenses, they should be almost as comfortable as soft contacts. They offer health benefits to the eye as well: they’re extremely breathable, which reduces the risk of eye infections.
Rigid gas permeable lenses are often the best contacts for astigmatism. Their flexible-yet-rigid material provides structure for the cornea itself, gently pushing the eye into a more uniform shape.
If hard lenses are not for you and you don't like wearing glasses, Clearly also offers you an extraordinary range of soft contact lenses from the most popular major brands, like Acuvue, Air Optix, everclear or Biofinity. You will find what suits you, at an unbeatable price.
